HE LIFTS MATERIAL BURDENS – Sunday March 12th 2017

10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.




15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

MESSAGE:
Burdens are loads imposed on a person by the wicked forces of this world or by circumstances of life. They come under certain categories, one of those being physical burdens. Physical burdens are exemplified by the case of Naaman who had an incurable disease (2nd Kings 5:1). Also, the woman with a spirit of infirmity, who could not straighten herself for years, is another case in point (Luke 13:11). No matter how much she tried, everywhere she went, she remained bent. Similarly, the man who had been at the pool of Bethesda for 38 years had a physical burden (John 5:2-9). Do you have a physical burden? Are you physically handicapped? Jesus Christ will lift your physical burdens today! You shall experience a turnaround in Jesus’ Name.

Burden could also be material in nature. The widow of Zarephath was carrying a material burden (1st Kings 17:8-16). Things used to be good for her, but her situation deteriorated to the point where she had only one meal to her credit. Open Heavens 12 March 2017:- He lifts material burdens. In addition, the heavily indebted widow of 2nd Kings 4:1-7 was plagued by the debts left by her late husband. The creditors came calling and threatened to enslave her sons. Thank God she knew the right place to run to. She cried to the prophet, who was connected to the Burden Bearer, and the tide turned for her and her children. What about the wedding feast inJohn 2:1-11? They thought they had everything in place, but midway through the celebration, they ran out of wine. They called on the Burden Bearer and He supplied what was lacking.
A very wealthy man with a fleet of 14 cars once picked a quarrel with his wife, and she threatened that by the time she was done with him, he would be trekking about the streets of Lagos, Nigeria. The man laughed it off, not knowing the kind of woman he had as a wife. Not long after, his business began to nose-dive, and things became so bad that a point, he had only one car left with 50 Kobo in his pocket. Then he reasoned with himself, “If I buy petrol with this money, I will starve, and if I spend the money on food, then I would have to trek in fulfilment of my wife’s evil decree.” That was when he decided to run to Jesus Christ for help, and the Lord turned things around for him. By the time he was sharing this testimony, he was dedicating two new houses on the same day. What material burdens are you carrying presently? If you run to Jesus, He will help you carry it. Through Him all material burdens can be lifted.

Key Points
Over the ages, Jesus Christ has borne the burden of many. If you can fully come to Him, he will readily help you carry the load that you cannot bear.

TOPIC:- GOD ANSWERS EVERY PRAYER

Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

MATTHEW 7:6-8
Prayer which meets the requirements outlined in God's Word is always answered. Many times we don't perceive the answer because it always comes in the spiritual realm first before it is manifested in the physical realm. If we waver from our confident faith, then we abort the manifestation of that answer (Jas. 1:6-7; Heb. 10:35). But God did answer. Everyone who asks receives.

In the book of Daniel chapter 9, Daniel prayed a prayer and waited a relatively short period of time to see his answer to prayer. In less than three minutes the angel Gabriel appeared and answered all of his questions.

This same man prayed another prayer in Daniel chapter 10, but this time it took three weeks before he had an angelic messenger come and answer his questions. What was the difference? Most people believe that God answered one prayer in three minutes and the next prayer in three weeks. But Daniel 10:12, says "from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand,...thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words." Satan had hindered the second prayer from reaching Daniel. God was not the variable. God answers every prayer.

  This is confirmed in Matthew 7:8, which says that everyone who asks receives, he that seeks will find, to him that knocks it is opened. God answers, but Satan can hinder our prayers in the spiritual realm before they ever physically manifest. If we understand that God gives the answer and that Satan is the one hindering, the truths of these scriptures will encourage us. God does answer prayer.

God is always answering your prayer. If you haven't seen it manifest, don't doubt God, but recognize that you're fighting an enemy, and persevere. Stand on your faith. Pray without ceasing until you see the answer.

Daily Devotional with Andrew Wommack March 11 2017:- RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT

TOPIC- Matthew 7:1, "Judge not, that ye be not judged."

MATTHEW 7:1-5
There are many examples of people judging others in the scriptures. Paul prayed that our love would abound more and more in all judgment (Phil. 1:9). In light of the scriptures where Jesus and the disciples spoke of judging, it is evident that there must be a right and a wrong type of judging.

In Luke 12:56-57, Jesus uses the words "discern" and "judge" interchangeably. A dictionary definition of "judge" can mean many things from "condemn" to "appraise, to form an opinion about; to think or consider." There is certainly nothing wrong with discerning or appraising a situation or person. Quite the contrary, we need to try the spirits (1 Jn. 4:1). Judging when done as discernment, is good.

It is the condemning type of judgment that is wrong. We can defer passing sentence on people to God, and know that He will make a perfect judgment (Rom. 2:2, Rev. 20:13). God is ultimately the only qualified judge. Daily Devotional with Andrew Wommack March 11 2017- RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT

Jesus is not forbidding judgment, but rather He is warning to be careful with our judgment because we will be judged accordingly. There are certain cases where we have to pass a condemning sentence as Paul did or as a judge would do today. Pastors and elders are charged with rebuking and even disciplining church members, but it is not something to be done lightly. Judging is not aimed at the person, but the actions of that person. This warning constrains us to be certain that we have heard from God. We must not simply vent our own frustrations.



  Every Christian has a need for wisdom in making judgments about how to live from day to day. How wonderful to know that God through His Word has already equipped us to judge.

Are you currently in a state of perplexity? Does it seem as if the devil has vowed to sink the boat of your life? I have good news for you: he is only joking. Why? One reason why the boat of your life cannot sink is because all the elements, wind, storm and waves working against your boat were created by God, and they must hear His voice and obey Him. The disciples could not believe their eyes when they saw the manifestation of this. Jesus spoke to the contrary wind and the waves of the sea and they obeyed him. This season, everything working contrary to your boat and sail will hear the voice of the Master and beat a retreat in Jesus’ Name.

Everything God has created treats His voice with fear and awe. According to today’s reading, this voice is so powerful and awesome that there is no one and nothing that can withstand it. When the Lord speaks, thunder and lightning follow (Isaiah 30:30). When He speaks, the world beholds the true majesty of God. When He speaks, mighty cedar trees are split in pieces. When He speaks, the hottest of fires is cooled. When He speaks, the earth shakes and the wilderness quakes. When He speaks, hidden secrets are exposed and the impossible became possible. What can resist God’s voice? Nothing in or out of this world can! Today, the Lord will speak into your situation and every force or power actively working against you will take their flight. Yes, when He speaks, everything standing in His way will have to give way. At a point in time, the Philistines gathered together to invade Israel like they had done in times past. Samuel cried to the Lord and the voice of the Lord sounded from heaven to roundly defeat them. Open Heavens 11 March 2017:- When his voice thunders. They never invaded Israel again after this (1st Samuel 7:8-13). As God speaks into your situation today, the speed at which your oppressors will disappear will be quite amazing. Look around you today, what are those things that have refused to let you go forward? Call on the Lord to speak into your situation now and there shall be change. The Lord will speak into your life, family, work place, finances and academics today, and all your enemies shall scatter.
Prayer Point
Father, Lazarus heard Your voice and he came out of the grave. Speak into my life and let every opposing circumstances be silenced now.

The conscious mind is responsible for what we think and act on while we are aware of what's going on around us. Today, let's see another part of the mind.
Understanding the Subconscious Mind

 The subconscious mind is the seat of greatness. It's where the future of every man lies. The subconscious mind is what creates, designs and forms the future. This part of the mind interacts with the conscious and unconscious mind, it's the power house of every destiny- great or small. This part of the mind is called "The Soul of The Soul". The subconscious mind never goes to sleep, rest or holidays. It works round the clock even when you are unconscious. The subconscious mind is where thought patterns are formed, positive and negative thinking emanates from here. I'm sure, when the Bible in most cases talks about the "heart", the subconscious mind is what's referred to. This region of the mind is where everything, even those information your conscious mind could not capture is been processed. This is the root of every habit, character and action.

As powerful as the subconscious may be, it doesn't function all on it own. It works closely with the conscious and unconscious mind. It works with what you feed it with. The level to which you feed the subconscious mind by consciously empowering the conscious mind, will determine the level of smartness, intelligence, wisdom and accurate logical reasoning one would possess. Like we earlier said, the subconscious mind is the seat of success or failure, because even when you think you are not thinking, the subconscious mind is thinking.
 Proverbs 4:23 says "Keep vigilant watch over your heart [subconscious mind]; that’s where life starts" (Msg paraphrased). The King James version says "for out of it are the issues of life." The Word of Faith has it root from the subconscious mind.

MESSAGE:

  

For quite a long while in times past, I usually said that the Lord of Host never loses a battle, but quite recently, the Lord corrected me and said, “Son, I can lose a battle to win a war. I never lose a war.” According to His divine wisdom, when it pleases the Lord, He can choose to lose a battle in order to win a war. He can give up a battle, but He has never lost a war. We need to tap into this divine wisdom and apply its principle in our lives. It’s all about looking at the bigger picture. You will gain more from winning a war than from winning a battle. You will also lose more when you lose a war than when you lose a battle. Some people are not ready to lose any battle, and as a result, they lose the war that is more crucial. Take for instance, evangelism. If you go to preach to an individual about Christ and an argument ensues, you are faced with the choice of winning a battle (the argument) or winning the soul of the sinner (a war). If you choose to win the argument, you will most likely lose that soul. 

This is why you should get involved in arguments when preaching the gospel to unbelievers. Time to evangelise is not a time to argue about whose religion is more superior. Faith in Christ Jesus is more than just a religion. Simply tell the sinner about Jesus and God’s love towards him or her. Share your salvation experience with him or her. Stir up his or her interest in Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit will do the necessary work of conviction. After playing your part, you can then invite the person to surrender his or her life to Christ.

When you observe that God is seemingly losing a battle or battles, it is because there is a bigger war He wants to win. For instance, in the midst of intense persecution of the early Church, God allowed His beloved Stephen to be martyred. Open Heaven 10 March 2017:- When God loses a battle. Why did He allow this? It’s because He wanted to win the war of saving the ring leader of Stephen’s murderers, Saul. Through Saul, He planned to convert whole cities and to virtually turn the world upside down, and He succeeded in this (Acts 17:6). At the end, it became a double gain for the Lord as Stephen had a triumphant entry into Heaven while Paul, who supervised his martyrdom, became a mightier instrument in the hand of God for the salvation of souls on a massive scale across the globe. This testimony about Paul in Acts 19:26 show the awesomeness of God’s wisdom:

“Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:”

Anytime you follow God’s wisdom, you will know when to lose a battle in order to win a war.  

Prayer Point

Father, teach me to give up the battle that will enable me to win the most crucial wars.

TOPIC- TAKING THOUGHTS - OR NOT

Matthew 6:31, "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"

MATTHEW 6:25-34
The Greek word used here for "thought" is "merimnao" and denotes "to be anxious or careful". In this passage, as well as the parallel passage in Luke 12:22-32, Jesus is commanding us not to worry or be anxious about our material needs being met. It would be impossible to have no thought whatsoever about our physical needs. Even Jesus thought about His need for money to pay taxes (Mt. 17:24-27). We are simply not to be preoccupied with thinking about riches or spending our time worrying about necessities. These things will be added unto us as we seek first the Kingdom of God. The way we take or receive an anxious thought is by speaking it. Doubtful thoughts will come, but we do not sin until we entertain them. According to this verse, speaking forth these thoughts is one way of entertaining them; therefore, don't speak forth these negative thoughts.

It is imperative that we watch the words we say. Begin to speak words in faith that line up with God's Word, then positive results will follow. If we speak words of doubt, we will eventually believe them and have the negative things that these words produce. There are no such things as "idle" words which will not work for or against us. Death or life is in the power of every word we speak (Prov. 18:21). Our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, or they can become a snare of the devil (Prov. 6:2).

Today watch your words. Speak only things that will express your faith, trust, and confidence in the Lord and not your fear about the situations you face.

MESSAGE:

God’s voice is so powerful that it can bring about abundant increase. When He speaks in a situation of lack and acute shortage, whatever is responsible for that anomaly is arrested and there is bountiful provision. An example of this can be seen in the lives of the children of Israel. In Genesis 46:26-27, we read that all the people that Israel brought with him into Egypt including Joseph and his family were 70. However, when they were leaving Egypt, the men alone were numbered at 600,000 (Exodus 12:37). In fact, the Israelites’ rate of multiplication in Egypt was so raid that it became a source of worry to the Egyptians (Exodus 1:7-10). Sometimes, we think that such miracles can only occur in Bible times. By the grace of God, in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, we have seen God’s faithfulness demonstrated in the area of multiplication. In 1952, the Church started with about 12 people. By the time I became the general overseer in 1981, we had only 40 parishes including the headquarters. The convention we had in 1980 had a little over 600 people in attendance, yet we thought that was quite large. Today, through the grace of the Almighty God, this same Church has spread to over 174 nations of the world! Why? It is simply because there is a God who can speak from Heaven to make something little increase abundantly. This shall be your portion today in Jesus’ Name!
A blessing summons all the forces in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth to help an individual to succeed. To bless someone, you have to open your mouth to declare it. When God blesses you, all the angels of God will assist you, and even demons will fight one another to clear the way for you. In Genesis 48:8-20, Joseph, while visiting his father Jacob with his two sons, carefully guided his father to rest his right hand on the head of the elder son, Manasseh, and to rest his left hand on Ephraim the younger. At this time, Jacob was old and sick, and could no longer see. When Jacob crossed his hands over the two boys, Joseph protested but Jacob insisted, saying the younger will be greater than the elder, and then he blessed them. Within a short period of time, the younger son had become 10 times more blessed than his elder brother (Deuteronomy 33:17). This is what the declaration of a divine blessing can do in the life of a person. Ask God to declare His blessings on you. You can also seek the declaration of blessings from a father that is connected to God.

Father, from today, let me experience Your blessing of multiplication in every area of my life.

TOPIC:- SINGLENESS OF VISION

MATTHEW 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

MATTHEW 6:22-24
Jesus is speaking of spiritual vision. If we keep our attention (eye) single upon Jesus, the Word, then all that we will be filled with is the light of His Word (Jn. 1:1-14; Ps. 119:105). The key to victory is this singleness of purpose (Phil. 3:13). The strength of the laser lies in the fact that all of the light is concentrated on one single point. Likewise, the strength of the Christian lies in how single his or her vision is upon Jesus, "the author and finisher of our faith." (Heb. 12:1-3)
You may have God and riches, but you can only serve one of them. In Matthew 6:24, the Lord amplifies this by saying that we cannot serve two masters. Why is this so? Because we do not have the capability of faithfully serving both of them. You will cleave to one more than the other. You cannot serve both with all of your heart. We just don't have the capacity to do our best in two areas at the same time. God wants singleness of vision, singleness of purpose. He wants us to serve Him with all of our heart. You may be wondering how you can still make a living without always thinking about money. Where will it come from? How will you get more of it? In verse 33, Jesus goes on to say that He will supply all of your need when you seek first the Kingdom of God. All of these other things (food and clothing etc.) will be added unto you. If we will simply put God and His Kingdom first in every area of our lives, He will add to us all the wealth that we need. It's when we covet after money that we "pierce ourselves through with many sorrows" (1 Tim. 6:10). Put God to the test today. Put Him first in every area of your life and see if He won't provide all the other things for you.

If isolated from the rest of God's Word, there are some scriptures that could be interpreted to mean that having money or wealth is wrong. However there are other scriptures that speak of riches as a blessing. The harmony between these two apparently opposite positions is that money is neither good nor bad. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil, and many have committed the sin of loving money who don't even have a dime (1 Tim. 6:10)!   Because it is so easy to lust after money and the things it can provide, the Lord established a system whereby prosperity is a by-product of putting God first. As Matthew 6:33 states, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you." We should no more reject the blessing of prosperity than we should covet it, which is idolatry.

The reason for not laying up treasures on this earth is so that we will not have our hearts drawn away from the things of God. A key to success in the Kingdom of God is singleness of purpose. We don't have the capacity to do our best in two areas at the same time. If we will simply put God and His Kingdom first in every area of our lives, He will add to us all the wealth that we need. What is more valuable or important than knowing Him?

 Keep the right image in your mind. It can only be the right image in your mind, to experience the right life.

 "The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead" (Proverb 21:16 KJV). Understanding is what gives meaning to the life of a person. Outstanding men are men with great understanding. The level of results we generate in life as humans, is a direct product of our understanding. Daniel and his friends were ten times better than their colleagues, because of understanding. If there is anything you should crave for as a person, is understanding. The human mind is complex, but coordinated if shaped in the right perspective. The life of everyone is controlled by his/her mind. If you understand how the mind function, and you put your mind in it's right perspective, you are sure to get the best out of life.

The Triune Nature of The Soul

There are three entities that makes one God. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit: "So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus the Son of God) and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One" (I John 5:7 paraphrased, Amplified). And since we are made by God in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26), a human being is made up as three-in-one. A human being has a spirit, a soul and a body (1Thesselonians 5:23). When God told Adam in the garden of Eden, that Adam should not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge and evil, and for in the day that Adam eats of it Adam shall surely die (Genesis 2:17), God was talking about a spiritual death. But thank God today, I'm alive! Thank God some of us are alive! You can be alive too!

When Adam ate the forbidding fruit, he died a spiritual death. But thank God, Jesus came with a whole new package for man- spirit, soul and body. When you accept Jesus into your life, your spirit man comes alive (John 14:6). The devil can't touch your spirit again, but he (Satan) will always want to take control over your soul. Because he (Satan) knows if he can get your soul, he can get your body. After the spirit of man, the soul is the next important entity of man. The devil is always fighting to take control over a man's soul. Why is the soul this important you may ask? The soul is the connection between the spirit and body of every man. The soul controls how the spirit and body respond or react to things or issues. It's possible to have a regenerated spirit and unregenerated soul. When Apostle Paul was talking in Romans 12:2, he was talking to Christians with unregenerated soul.
The soul is also three in nature: the mind, the emotions and the will. Your soul is very powerful!

  To change your level of results in most cases, you only need to change your level of thinking. A man who doesn't think, stinks. And this world is the thinkers world. Either you live and contribute in the thinkers world or you become worthless and stink in it. But thank God, you are created far above all you can ever think about yourself. You can only enjoy the potentials and hidden treasures in you if you will think positively.
All physical treasures in you are hidden in different layers of your mind. Just like you don't walk on the street to pick golds and diamonds, you have to dig and dig deep, that's how you can't just get the treasures hidden in you by wishing. You think and think positive thoughts to dig out treasures in your mind. The mind of every human is a good and fertile soil if developed, but it takes thinking to dig out the treasures. Every mind has the potential to produce tongue twisting and breath taking results, if the spoon of the mind -thought- is use to stir the mind. The soul of man is the link and only connection between the spirit and body, and the mind is a vital part of the soul.
It takes a developed soul to scale new heights. Any other person can think, but the outcome of two thinkers is determined by the level of development. In other to understand how to scale new heights by understanding the mind, the teaching series for the next few days is Understanding The Human Mind. The understanding of a thing gives you dominion over that thing. If you understand what and how your mind operates and function, you can change your life and make the best out of life. A man with understanding lives an outstanding life.

Happy Resurrection Morning
The seeds you plant today, will produce a bountiful harvest in the future. Sow wisely!
Beloved, for the past few days, we've been discussing the relationship between positive thinking and scaling new heights, and discover that positive thinking has high positive relationship with scaling new heights. New heights are triggered by positive thinking. The more positively you think, the more joyful you become, the longer you live. "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." Since scaling new heights is a function of life, and life is a function of joy (Nehemiah 8:10), and joy is a function of positive thinking (Proverbs 15:15), therefore, positive thinking guarantees speedy change of levels. 
In the journey of life, there are certain prices that must be paid to access some things. So is the same of experiencing change of levels in all sphere of life. The price you must pay to change your level (no matter where you are now, there is a better place) is by thinking positively. When you think positively, fresh insights and ideas flow through your mind like an unending ocean. It takes positive thinking to unlock great ideas. Great ideas will only flow in the direction of positive thinkers. All you need to change your level is a new idea or an idea to expand an already existing idea. But great ideas won't come when all you think in negative. Many people are grounded because of the kind of thoughts they hold on to. 
Apostle Paul admonishes us to renew our thoughts so we can prove the will of God for us (Romans 12:2). What's the will of God you may ask? The will of God is in Proverbs 4:18. 

Until you change your thinking pattern, you will still be flying in low-valleys of life. Someone once said, "Change of results most times, only requires change of thinking." Your change of levels may only demand you change your thinking pattern, and not your work. Positive things happen to positive people, and negative things happen to negative people. It's therefore advisable, to meditate on good things. Philippians 4:8 gives us what to think about "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

I see you embracing positive thinking. You are creative, intelligent and smart.

  Positive thinking is what creates the base for scaling new heights. Scaling new heights means going up on the ladder of success and fulfilment, but it takes only positive thinkers to experience success and fulfilment at the same time while on the journey of success. Positive thinkers are record breakers and setters. Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, Ben Carson, The Wright Brothers and many others, were positive thinkers, and you will agree that they all scaled new heights to be remembered in the future as a result of the products of their thoughts. Interestingly, the mind of these men were at some point the same with ours. But what changed? Their ability to put their mind to work!

You can scale new heights also. You are brilliant and creative as well. There difference between who you are now and who you are created to be, is your thought. No man ever rise above his thought. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." To think of flying while others are either crawling or walking, your thought must be higher. Scaling new heights don't just happen, they take great positive thoughts to pull them through. One thing I like and enjoy about positive thinking, is that, the more you engage in positive thinking, the more positive thoughts you generate, the more life become sweet and fun. Someone was said, "You can't be filled with positive thoughts and be or look downcasted." Positive thinking creates room for possibility thinking.

The difference between the rich and the poor, is the value of their thoughts. You want to be rich? Think rich thoughts. You want to scale new heights? Think thoughts higher than your level of thinking. E. W. Kenyon once said;  "Make your brain work. It will sweat, but make it work. It will improve. It will develop until you become a wonder to those around you." It takes positive thinkers to be height scalers. If you want to scale new heights, think positively.
